Bob Harper, ACF
Consulting Forester

Bob Harper is President of Harper Forestry, LLC.  He graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry, and an option in Wildlife Management.  After working several years in industry forestry, Bob established his forestry consulting business in 1986.  Today, Harper Forestry's landowner base is more than 38,000 acres and 350 clients. 

Bob is experienced in long-term timberland management, establishing forest management goals, writing management plans, timber appraisals, timber sales and property tax consulting.

Affiliations include the Texas Forestry Association Accredited Forester No. 003; Association of Consulting Foresters of America; the Society of American Foresters; the American Tree Farm System Past State Chairman and currently Area IX Chairman and, he was President of the Texas Forestry Association in 2012 and continues as a member of several committees and boards.  In addition to his consulting business, Bob is a guest lecturer at Stephen F. Austin's College of Forestry & Agriculture.

Bob Harper proudly served three years active duty in the U.S. Army Security Agency 1969-1972 with one year overseas duty in Turkey and as an instructor at the U.S. Army Security Agency Training Center and School, Ft. Devens, Massachusetts.  Upon completion of his six year obligation Bob was Honorably Discharged.

Bob's hero is his Father, C.B. "Red" Harper (1917-2015) , Pilot and Commander of the B-17 Buffalo Gal, 100th Bombardment Group, 8th Air Force, U.S. Army Air Corp., Europe 1943
